Harv Galic describes how eighty years ago, in 1934, an originally German couple, Anna and Konrad Rettenbacher, perished when climbing in the Californian Sierra Nevada. To the present day, their memory is preserved by their San Francisco Nature Friends local in the hearth of the mountains.
